A COMPENSATION CASE.

When the case Janet Elizabeth Broomhall against the Southland Sawmilling Company, a claim of £400, came before the Arbitration Court, at Orepuki, on Saturday last, Mr Macalister, for respondents, said a settlement had been come to, respondents agreeing to pay £250, which had been accepted.. Claimant's husband was killed when working m the bush at Orepuki m June last. There are two infanta, and the Court appointed Mr Maoalister to represent the infants to discuss with Mr Hunter, solicitor for claimant, a "project for safeguarding their interests, to. be placed, if arranged, before the Court m Invercargill, on Wednesday.
