Waiau Valley Telephone.

The members of the Otautau Town Board, m calling the attention of Mr J. C. Thomson, member for Wallace and the heads of the Telegraph and Postal Departments, to the advantages to be gained by extending the telephone to the oold lakes of this district from Eastern Bush or Clifden, as against Mossburn, obtained from the engineer of the Wallace County some approximate distances as under, whioh will be of interest to many of out country readers. The line, bein* already erected to Eastern Bush/only requires to be carried from there making the distance slightly less than from Mossburn.
