Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. report having held a clearing sale of stock and farm implements, at Fairfax on Monday, 22nd inst., on behalf of Mr James Sutherland who has disposed of his property to his too, Mr Robert Sutherland. The day being fine ther_ was af good attendance of the . j>ub lie, who, on arrival at the township where the s .le was held, found everything nicely arranged by the vendor. When all were put into a good buying humour by the excellent luncheon provided^ the sale was proceeded with and very satisfactory prices were obtained. The fourteen - horses offered all fetched good value at up to £45 103 and £37. The cattle were sold at current rates, as were a quantity of sundries. • f
