PRESBYTERIAN BAZAAR

HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL EXCELLENT PROGRAMMES The Opunake and Pihama Presbyterian Ladies Giiilcl held another successful Bazaar in the Drill Hall on Monday October 17th. The decorated stalls and stage lent color to the busy atmosphere which' prevailed throughout the day. A feature of the afternoon was the Tiny Tots' Beauty contest under 5 years and the Baby Show. Results were as follows: Beauty Contest: Barbara Aidrich 1, Lynette Holmes 2, Shona McCrone and Leslie Flodin equal 3. Special, prize: Roderick Quaith. Baby Show, 6 to 12 months: David Knapman 1, Colleen Wan and Marian Stanley equal 2. 12 to 18 months: Graeme Lowry 1. 18 to, 2 years: John Seobie 1, Michiel Robson 2, Margaret Collins 3. Judges Mrs. Fred Young and Mrs. Harvey White. Evening Programme Song and Dance —Jennifer Blair; Sword Dance'—Joan Allan and Beryl McCrone; Recitation—Robin Mitchell; Skipping Rope Dance —Eloise Tito; Irish Hornpipe—Dawn Campbell and Lola Wright; Vocal—Miss Margaret Tosland. Beauty Contest: Girls 6 to JO years: Beverley Knapman 1, Pamela Morris 2, Joan Allan 3. Quiz Contest (teams of four) Messdames McCrone, Tosland, Cathie and Miss Fischer 1, Misses M. Tosland, S. Tosland, I Robson, North 2, Mesdames Southcombe, Gifford, L. Harvey and Mr. A Allan 3. Quiz master (Mr. A. Hume). Time keepers: Mr. A. Rose and ' Mr. V. McGregor.

Rev. Berry proposed a hearty vote of thanks to all who helped to make the function a success.
