OPUNAKE SPORTING DOGS HAWERA KENNEL CLUB Among over 50 dogs of 111 breeds, Mr. and Mrs. J. Fitzherbert's entries gained 5 outstanding awards, including best dog in parade, sporting and open stakes, Ist Collie ' bitches, and Irish 'setter (dogs) novice, open and best of breed, and a second in the novice and open Irish setter dog class.. Buster, the Opunake Breeders' ' fine Irish setter, was judged the best dog in the parade and gained 3 other major awards.
