WIN FOR NORMANBY OPITNAKE IMPROVE Although beaten by Normanbv by IT points to 0 on Saturday the Opunake league team went very well and just missed scoring on several occasions after good improvements. The game was fast and open with Normanby backs and forwards displaying better combination. Mr. L. L. Corrigan, president of the Normanby club and Mr. G- Flintoff, a member of the Normanby Town Board went on when they saw their team take the field 2 men short and they played surprisingly well Scorers for Normanby were Chadwick (2), Turuhui (2) and Matangi tries and L. Jur’d kicked a penalty. The referee was Mr. H. Wiley. R. Munro, who was unable to take part in the Taranaki league trials recently owing to lack t f transport, has been selected to play for South against North in the curtain-raised to the Tarana-ki-West Coast representative game at New Plymouth today.
