OPUNAKE BEACH
BIG WEEK-END CROWDS SURFING POPULAR The ideal and warm weather experienced., last week-end attracted big crowds to the Opunake beach, including oyer 50 members of the Mangtoki Social Chib who spent a pleasant day on Sunday. Picnickers and family parties arrived in full force especially on Sunday _ and the biggest number of swimmers m the water were seen this season, with,'of course, sunbathing generally popular- The Junior surf club members also took the -ipportunity to stage practise events. The Beach Caretaker, Mr. J. Cargo advises tliat the first of the campers are due to arrive next Thursday and the camping ground is fully booked out ior the holiday period.
