BAND DANCE
GREAT SUCCESS CONTEST SELECTION One of the most successful dances held in Opimake for several months took place on Saturday evening'. The function .\va» organised by the Opunake Federal Bund and a big crowd including many visitors, attended, a thoroughly enjoyable evening resulting. The feature of the evening was the rendering of-the Contest -,dention by the band. A difficult composition, the band nevertholess handled it splendidly and ieceived a great ovation. After weeks of solid practice they deserve every success and '" their performances will be followed with exceptional interest at me Hawern contest next Saturday. Lively music contributed by the Band orchestra kept the dancers b a happy mood throughout \iid several novelties and a very dainty supper were also keenly appreciated. Novelty winners were: Dut ;h Monte Carlo, Mr. R. Howe <ad Mrs. YV. Pollock; Lucky Spot novelty: Miss K. Mourie * rid partner; Lucky Gay Gordons: Mr. P. Cox and Miss 11. Loonov.
