WOMEN’S DIVISION

MONTHLY MEETING

TOUR DISCUSSED • Mrs. R. Julian presided at the monthly meeting of the Opunake Women’s Division. Arrangements were made for the dispatch of the February food parcel to Britain. Mrs. Julian reported that the luncheon rooms had been cleaned and painted, and new curtains donated by Mrs. A. Harvey (secretary) had been put up.

It was decided that if a tour to the South Island could be arranged for a suitable .date some members of Opunake branch would join the. party. . ’ Mrs. Trolove gave a talk on hygiene. Competitions resulted:

Bloom: Mrs. Holmes 1, Mrs Petty and Mrs. Tosland 2, Mrs Julian and Miss Pettigrew 3. Dahlia: Mrs. Holmes 1, Mrs Harvey 2, Mrs. Petty 3 Gladioli: Mrs. Holmes 1, Mrs, Allan 2, Mbs. Petty 3.
