Fridays: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m; 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday: The Post Office will be closed all day. Tolls and Telegrams of an urgent nature will be accepted at the back door. Thurs, Fri. noon Saturdays 7 a.m. Hawera: Mon. to Sat. 7 a.m. Mon. to Fri, 4.45 p.m. Wellington and South Is.: Mon, to Sat. 7 a.m. Auckland, Main Trunk, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Hawkes Bay (via Hawera) Mon. to Sat 7 a.m. Friday 4.45 p.m. Letters containing anything of value should be presented at the Public Counter for registration. Letters containing coin or banknotes, if posted unregistered will be compulsorily registered, and charged double registration fee.
