WELLINGTON SPRING MEETING (By “Bernhorough”) Of main interest_ to stay-at-home race fans, during the coming week-end, will be the two broadcast Metropolitan meetings to be held at Trentham and Ellerslie. Both clubs have received good acceptances and fields are of a high order as far as class is concerned. Since the opening of the reformed track at Trentham, favourites have won their share of races and it appears that the old “hoodoo” on well backed horses has disappeared.
