MATCH WiTH TE NGUTU WIN- FOR VISITORS Members of the recently re' formed Te Ngutu Golf Club visited the Opunake links on Sunday, an enjoyable afternoon’s golf resulting in a win for the visitors by 5 matches to 3, one being squared. In the absence of the president, Mr. E. G. Snell welcomed the visitors, and a dainty afternoon tea was served by the ladies. Results were, (Opunak mentioned first) : D. Watt and H. Otene lost to Linn and Newman 1 up; Brennan and Snell beat McCallum and Warnock 5/3; Harding and Bavlis lost to Bowater and Shields 1 up; Simpson and Burton lost to Betts and Todd 1 up; Reaver and B. Peat lost to Howell and Lind 2 up; Trotter and Nicoll beat Betts and Burton 4/3; Pickering and Clouston beat McCallum and Stoddart 2/1; R. Peat and Thomas v. Inkskip and Radford, all square; Jackson and Turn lost to Martin and Bullock 3/1. LADIES’ GOLF MATCH AGAINST MANAIA The Opunake Ladies’ golf team' to meet Manaia at the Manaia links tomorrow, is as follows: Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. Brennan, Miss O’Sullivan, Mrs. Gum son, Mrs. Fitzherbert, Miss Trotter, Mrs. Nicoll, Mrs. Morris, Mrs. Malcolm, Mrs. Pickering, Miss Wehipeihana and Mrs. Eagles. All non-handicap players are also invited to make the trip, and members of the team who are unable to play are asked to notify Mrs. Fitzherbert. Cars leave from the theatre at 11.30 a.m. .
