LOCAL GIRL AUCKLAND FESTIVAL At the recent festival held at'Auckland, Cecelia Landers agecl ,Byrs. was successful in National and Tap dancing, winning Ist Highland Ming under 9yrs., 3rd Hornpipe under 9yrs/, 2nd Sean ■'■' Triubhas under llyrs., 3rd Fling" under llyrs., Ist Clos 1 Waltz;' open and V.H.C. in .Champion- ' ship Tap under 15yrs. Margaret Landers, aged 7yrs., also gained 3rd place in the National dance under Byrs., at the Palmerston North Competitions. These two young dancers are . the grand-daughters of Mr. D. lloss of Opunake who himself was at one time a successful I dancer. ',-.'.
