LODGE CONSECRATED

R.A.0.8. OPUNAKE LODGE IMPRESSIVE CEREMONY Provincial Grand Lodge Officers of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, headed by Bio. W. McKenzie, K.0.M., officiated at the opening- of the Opunake Lodge, No. 102, which took place in the Drill Hall on Wednesday evening. The consecration and inauguration ceremony of the new Lodge were most impressively conducted and 4U new members were initiated into the order. A roll call of brothers of the order, including members from New Plymouth, Patea, Hawera, Stratford, and Inglewootl lodges, produced a remarkable coincidence —102 members present, the number of the lodge, granted by Grand Lodge. P G.P Bro. W. McKenzie and Bro. C McLeod, K.0.M., New Plymouth, extended hearty congratulations to members on the enthusiasm shown, and wished the lodge success and prosperity in the years to come. Election of Officers

Lodge officers elected for the ensuing term were: Bros. A. A. Hume/Primo; E. Riley, G. Mar; G. E. Maddiford, A. 8.; N. Keys, C. Tyl; K. Riley, C. Cham; F. Alger, 0. Con; J. B. Dunn, C. Reg; F. Norman, C.W.; P. J. Brennan, Sec; R. Riley, C. Mm; H. Shields, Treas; S. Renton, and K. Pennington, Trustees; S'ick Visitor, K. Pennington. Bio. Hume, after accepting office, extended a hearty welcome to Provincial Grand Lodge officers and visitors, and his appreciation on behalf of Opunake Lodge, of the excellent response and the valuable assistance rendered by old members of the order. Entertainment At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Lodge was placed into Liberty Hall and a most entertaining programme interspersed with toasts was enjoyed by the gathering.
