PRISONERS PARCELS
- AMERICAN FACILITIES
While some prisoners of war have said in letters that parcels could be sent monthly and otJiers have mentioned no tune restriction, Lieut. I. M. Matheson, of Auckland, who was taken prisoner in Greece, says in letters from Oliag VB Camp, Germany, to his wife and mother mat parcels are allowed only once every three months. This version agrees with the instructions issued by the New Zealand posta 1 authorities.
The articles Lieut. Mathesou asks for are shirts, pyjamas, underclothing, collars, tie, brush and soap, and he asks that the 10.1 b weight limit be made up with chocolate. A new aspect he introduces is a statement that America is the only country from which there is no restriction on parcels and he adds that he will have to write there tor food parcels.
