Opunake ran Fatea to a close decision in a B grade fixture at the southern centre on Saturday, the local team being defeated by 10 matches to 6. 1). Walt, playing No. 4 for Opunake, had a ■ hard day’s tennis, meeting R. Burgess in all his contests. In singles, Burgess had to go to 12/10 for success, and in the doubles, the advantage was again played.
