WOMEN'S DIVISION
MONTHLY MEETING HELD * SYMPATHY WITH MEMBERS Vote.s of sympathy with residents who had suffered bereavement during the nasi month were adopted at the monthly meeting of the Opunake branch of the Women's Division, Mrs. W. A. Sheat presiding. Mesdamea F. Julian, Baylis and Gibson and Mr. I). Ross were those with whom sympathy was expressed. Members, also voiced regret that illness had laid aside Mesdamea / .T. S. Hickey and D. Mil'denhall ( and Miss Holland, good wishes for an early recovery being conveyed to them. Goods to the value of £5 are to be purchased from the disabled soldiers' depot at Wellington for sale by members, the meeting giving the necessary authority.
Observations unon various features of life in Central Otasro were contained in a letter received from Mrs. W. A. Lambie. formerly a member of the branch. Mesdames A Petty and F Julian were the recipients of Wrthdav greetings. A full report covering proceedings at the annual Dominion conference at W'-dlinvton was t°ndered by Jles'l'unes Sheat and Starek, who were accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Appreciation also was recorded of the action of Miss Faull in making the wreaths on behalf of the division for a recent funeral of a deceased member.
