Mr W, J. Tucker, who has been visiting his son and daughter in Opunake, returned to his home at Mt. Eden, Auckland, yesterday.

Mr K. Macks, of Te Puke, who has been visiting friends in Opunake, left for his home at the weekend.

Mr and Mrs J. W. Bailey, of Auckland, were the guests of Mr and Mrs J. Barney, King Street. Being an enthuisastic bowler, Mr Bailey spent a pleasant time on the local bowling green. * * *

Mr J. W. Bailey, of Auckland, and now on a holiday visit to friends in Opunake, has been appointed to adjudicate the elocutionary sections, at the competitions to be held in Dunedin in August.
