TO-NIGHT AND TO-MORROW DOUBLE STAR PROGRAMME At the mutinee and evening- performance patrons are to be treated to a nine double star programme —one wlrich will take in several phases such as educational news, thrills and the great outdoors. A piogramme to suit every member ot the family. The first star picture is entitled “The Phantom ot Cresfwood,” which concerns an adventuress Jenny Wren, who specialises in the art of separating tired and affluent business men from their morals, their domestic worries, and their excess capital. She succeeds at the outset, in manoeuvring wealthy and elderly Priam Andes (H. B. M ainer) into inviting her to his Crestwood estate. She also intimidates him, sweetly and delightfully, into inviting several other mature and wealthy Lotharios, their wives, sweethearts, families, etc., tor the same occasion—nothing less than a farewell dinner to herself! Jenny’s candid purpose is to collect half a million dollars from the elderly men. They do not dare refuse her.

After dinner, and after nightfall, with the sea pounding mourn fully and the wind whistling like a pack of flying ghosts, someone very neatly, thoroughly and unobtrusively murders, her I But who? So intricately are the threads of lives hound together that everyone in that excellent cast is suspected until the final scene discloses the motive and the identity 01 he murderer. It would be unfair to tell the storv.

“Fighting for Justice” Tim McCoy, a new Western star, will be seen in the second special and tells of the Texan Ranger who comes along to rescue a pioneer family who are being taken down by some rascals. A love romance runs through the 7>icture the main part being taken hv Joyce Compton. Excellent supports.
