MANGAHUME NOTES

TENNIS CLUB DANCE. A very successful dance was held on Friday last in the Alangahurne School under the auspices of the newly formed Tennis Club. The evening, which was thoroughly enjoyed by residents and visitors was interspersed by several items. The Alisses Hickey rendered a delightful quartet followed by a vocal duet sung by Airs. Malcolm and Aliss Cheffings. The evening was intervened by a community sing and Air. A. Jameson Highland music. The floor was in excellent order and a very dainty supper was dispensed by the ladies of the committee.

During the evening Mr, and Ah*. K. D. Henderson were welcomed to the district. Much of the success of the evtning was due to the excellent dance music provided by Airs. Alakolm and Aliss Cbeffings, while the duties of AI.C. were ably performed by Air. AI. Dudley.

It was the unanimous wisli of hose present that tire functions le continued fortnightly.
