KAPONGA VISIT -OPUNAKE. VISITORS' GOOD SCORE. Last Saturday the Kaponga eleven Visited Opunake in continuation of the South Taranaki competition. The ' weather conditions and the pitch were in perfect condition and an enjoyable ' afternoon ensued Kaponga being victorious by an innings and 54 runs. Kaponga batted first, Jefcoate and 5 V. Betts opening to the Opunake bowling and managed to knock up 194 runs,' Jefcoate 44 and Orinisfon 5<W being the best scorers for the visit Griffin and Burgess opened wB 1 game for Opunake against the, bowling ' of Jefcoate. Burgess 15 and Dobbin 13 were the top scorers for the home.; ' team in the first innings. who scored only 40 in the first innings s 1 followed* on when.
