HYDRO-ELECTRIC LOAN.

As announced in our' last issue the Opunake Electric-power Board pro pose to borrow ,£70,000 t© complete the scheme to be taken over from the Town Board, and a poll of ratepayers will be taken on Wednesday, November 16, to obtain sanction for the loan. This sanction should be forthcoming seeing the great potential value the project represents, and it will be very regrettable if such is not the case. The scheme promises to be a splendid paying one. All that is required is sufficient money to establish it. There is no experiment about the proposition, and the element of risk is negligible. The possible benefits of the scheme made it well worth while, and ratepayers who have the interests of the district at ( heart and that means their own interests—should vote for the loan and thus assure the early completion of the scheme.
