[N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Road Boards Act, 1882, and subsection 4 of section 14 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901, and amendments respectively, the Parihaka Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of pro- ! viding the interest and other charges i on a loan of fourteen hundred pounds (£1400), authorised to be raised by the Parihaka Road Board under the provisions of “ The Local Bodies Act, 1901,” for the purpose of forming, draining, culverting, metalling, and bridging the Opourapa Road, from the Main South Road to a point two chains east of the boundary peg between sections 5 and 6, block 13, Cape Survey District. The said Parihaka Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence five-eighths (2&d) of a penny in the pound (£1) upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Opourapa Road Loan District, comprising all that continuous area within the Parihaka Road Board District, comprising all subdivisions of section 106, part 119 r block 1, Opunake Survey District, parts sections 16 and 17, section 18, sub 1 and 2 of 19, section 20, block 2, Opunake Survey District, sections 99, 100, 101, block 12, Cape S.D., sections 2,3, 4,5, and 6, block 13, Cape Survey District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate as security for the interest and sinking fund in connection with such loan; and to provide for the payment out of the loan moneys of the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest on such loan, and be payable on the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one (41) years at four pounds (£4) per cent per annum interest, or until the loan is fully paid off.
