(own cobbespondent.) A meeting of the Bowling Club was held on Saturday eveuiug. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £4. There is to be a working bee oq Thursday, June 29th, to top dress the green. Mr J. Ross has started the alterations to the Hall, and hopes to be finhhed by the end of the month. I hear Mr McOaul, our local blacksmith, has sold his business, and is going in for dairying. Mr Cullen has sold his farm on the Skeet Road to a Canterbury gentleman. The ranger has been on the " warpath " lately. It's about time we bad a local pound, as it is very hard on people to have to pay driving fees to Opunake.
