TWELVE BUILDINGS BURNED; 38 PERSONS KILLED.

New York, October 81.

A explosion at Tarrant Company's druggists, New York, caused a panic and a fatal stampede in the streets. Twelve buildings were burned and 20 damaged. Thirty-eight persons were killed and missing and 104 injured. The loss amounts to a million and a half dollars.
