At St. Hill Street yesterday wo had a fair yarding, and have to report a total clearance. For cattle there was a keen demand, especially for grown steers, which made late rates. In sheep there was no quotable change. We quote— Cattle : 8 and 4 yr medium steers, £5 10s; 3yr do., £5 to £5 5s ; 18 months to 2 yr steers, £3 to £8 7s 6d ; yearling steers, £2 12s ; yearling heifers, (good). £2 18s; 18 months heifers, £2 12s 6d ; weaners, 80s; springing heifers, £5 ; milch cows, £4 to £5 3s Gd ; store cows, £3 10s.

Sheep: Ewes with 85 per cent lambs 15s 4d.
