A Queensland Reminiscence.

An interesting reminiscence gives pleasure not only to the hearer but to the one recounting it. Many interesting reminiscences can be told of early days, early struggles and subsequent triumphs by old colonists. Mrs Kuibb, of Earle-street, Toowong, Queensland, has had some most interesting experiences, although fortunately, all her troubles have now been overcome. Her reminiscences date back twelve years ago. " At thnt time," so she toid a press representative, "I met with a bad accident. As a result my thigh bone was broken, and since that time I have suffered a great deal. I lost the tight of my left eye, mainly through the disease, and even after treatment of it was over I suffered from great pain across the bone over the eye. Last Christmas twelve mouths I was so bad that I could scarcely move in bed. I had to go to the hospital after being treated for a long time by the doctors ;• but after coming out again I suffered just the same. If I did a little washing in the day time I could scarcely turn in bed at night, aud during Westerly Winds I was always laid

up. A little while ago I read of the cures effected by Dr Williams' Pink Pills, but I was doubtful about them. One of my famibj, however, said the cases reported must be genuine, or the people would not dare to print them, and so I bought a box of the pills and took one after each meal. That gave me some relief, bat I still suffered, and I was told to take two pills after meals. I did that, and tbe effect has been wonderful. I have got rid of the rheumatism, an", the pain across my eye has gone. During the recent Westerly Winds 1 was up and about and suffered no ill effects." " You attribute that to Dr William's Pink Pills ? " the interviewer asked. " Yes, indeed," said Mrs Knibb, "I do, and, to nothing else. If it were not for them, I should not be standing out here talking to you now." It must be understood that Dr. Williams' Piuk Pills for Palo People are not a patent medicine. They positively cure rheumatism, sciatica, lumbago, neuralgia, and influenza's evil after-effects, and are a specific for all diseases of women, such as anaemia, poor and watery blood, female irregularities, nervous headache and hysteria. These Pills are not a purgative medicine, but brace up and permanently strengthen the whole system. They are genuine only with the full name Dr Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People, and are sold by all chemists and storekeepers generally or by the Dr Williams' Medicine Company, Wellington, N.Z., who will forward, on receipt of stamps or post order, oue box for three shillings, or half-dozen for sixteen and sixpence. If the full name is not on, you are being defrauded wifh a spurious imitation.
