Glenloch is a dark bay, rising 3 years, with immense hone and muscle. Glengyle is a bright bay, with immense bone and plenty of hair. He has never been beaten in Otago. As a yearling he was first at Oamaru ; as a two-year-old he was first at Oaraaru, Dunedin, and Taieri Shows. In 1890, at Oamaru, as a three-year-old, first and champion for best horse in the yard. He has taken two firsts and champion at Egmont, aud also first and champion in Tara naki. Ills stock have all turned out well. A filly, Christian Fleming McCormack, was first as two-year-old, and also champion for best mare in the yards. The Canterbury Press says she is one of the best fillies ever shown in an Otago show yard. His sire, Prince of the Isles (imported by Mr 'Michael Power, and sold to Mr D. McGregor, Westown, for 450 guineas), is by Honest Tom, once champion horse of England, the property of Mr Grant, late the property of Mr Waltham, Parson’s Drove. Prince of the Isles took the following prizes:—First prize at Spalding, first at Iloston, and first at Lincoln, as a yearling, in a class of 32, open to all England ; as a two-year-old he was second at Horncaatle, and first at Peterborough; as a three-year-old he was second for the Doncaster Cup. Glengyle’s dam, Helen McGregor, by Glenroy, by Prince of Wales (imp.); dam, Darling, by Redman (imp,) ; g,d, Lily by George Buchanan (imp.). Helen McGregor’s dam, Violet, by Sir Colin Campbell, by King Fergus; dam, Scotland’s Pride, Helen McGregor was bred by Air Robert Matthews, Temuka, and in 1885 alone she gained the following prizes:—First and champion at Timaru aud Waimate, aud second at Christchurch, Oamaru, and Dunedin ; at Oamaru, in 1890, second in dry mare class, and first for mare and progeny, Glcnloch’s dam, Jess 11., out of Jess 1., by Bruce. Bruce by Sir Robert the Bruce. Jess I. by Renfrew Jock, out of Flower 1., by Cornet. Flower 1., out of Flower, by Hampton (imported from Tasmania), bred by Mr Watson. Flower has taken many prizes at Taieri, Oamaru, and Palmerston South. Hampton, bred by Mr Creig, out of Beauty, imported from Scotland, by Blair’s Champion (imported). Cornet, bred by MrNimmo, Renfrew Jock, imported from Victoria.
