WELLINGTON RACES. Wellington, November 24. The first day of the Wellington Spring meeting was held yesterday, The remits are:— November Handicap.—Quiltiri 1, Sir Agnes 2, Zanella 3. Dividend, £ll 111. Maiden Hack Race.—Jim Campbell 1, Wish 2, Sylph 3. Dividend, £8 6s. All jockeys riding in the above race were fined 20s each for being late at post. Wellington Handicap-—Target 1. Leda 2, Pompom 3. Won easily. Dividend, £3 190, First Hurdles.—Rhino 1, King Lear 2; These were the only starters. Shorts Handicap.—Chasaeur 1, Boreas 2, Lungdale 3. Dividend, £9 Bs. Hack Handicap.—Stockade 1. Yellow Rose and Oracle d.h. 2, Dividend, £9 16s. Welter Handioap.—Nightingale 1, Hillstone 2, Australina 3. Dividend, £9 Bs. Flying Handicap.—Guardsman 1, Langdale 2. Defiant 3. Dividend, £ll 2s. DUNEDIN RACES. Ddnedin, November 24. The following are the results: — Spring Hurdles.—llex 1, Clarenoe 2, Belmont 3. Dividend, £7 lie. Maiden Plate.—Epaulet had a walk over. Otago Cup-—Uniform 1, Star Shot 2, Mountebank 3. Won easily. Dividend, £1 19s.
