Sire, Blackwood Abdallah ; dam, Duchess of York, by Traducer, out of Gentle Annie, grand-dam of Calista, Miss Hilda, Princess, and other good performers. Ebony was shown five times, and took four first and one second. Fees—Single mares, L2 10s ; groom's fee, 2s 6d. All fees payable by promissory note, due on Ist January, 1898. Ebony will travel to Bahotu on Monday, and to Kaponga and Manaia on Wednesday; Otakeho and Pihama on Thursday ; the remainder of the week at Opunake. Every care taken, but no responsibility.
