Land Board.

The Land Board met on Monday. Present: —The Commissioner (Mr Strauchon), Messrs Kelly, Stock, and Heslop. ACQUIRING FREEHOLD. Two applications for freehold titles vere granted—viz., W. Chatterton, section 4. block 7, Egniont; T. Cuthbert, section 8, block 4, Kaupokouui. NO POWER. J. Dunn applied for 18 months' ieave of absence from section 90, block 10, Ngaire, having found employment in the Northern Wairoa District—The Board decided that it had no power to f?raut the request. OEI. J. Gorrie applied for a lease from year to year of section 26, block 2, .Mr Roy appeared as agent in the matter. Tho Board decided to grant a lease, subject to termination of lease by three months notice; rent to be at the rate of £1 per annum, and position of the acre to be approved by the Commissioner.
