Ward Farmers' Association.
Dunedin, April 13, The Supreme Court, on the application of Mr W. E. Cook, liquidator, authorised a call of £4 per share in the J. G. Ward Association. Calls amounting to £2O and under are payable in two instalments at two and four months ; £2O to £IOO, in three instalments at two, four, and six months ; £IOO and upwards, in four instalments at two, four, six, and eight months.
In the affidavit of the official liquidater supporting the application for power to make a call is set forth a schedule showing the total claims against the Association, and assets to meet these, as follows : Claims allowed, £32,069 6s 7d ; estimated expense of liquidation, £2500; claims not yet adjudicated upon, £62,461 16a 4d. The assets are; Cash in Bank, £24,746 8s 6d; the value of stock and plant is estimated to realise £I9OO ; the book debts are estimated to yield £20,000; the Bank balance trust account, £3599 16s 2d ; estimated value of a call of £4 per share, £8450. Total, £63,868 8s Id. There are 788 persons settled as contributories for 15,233 shares.
