THE DAIRY INDUSTRY.
(to the editor.) Sir, —Knowing your deep interest in the progress of the dairy industry, I herewith supply you with the results of the Frankly Road Co-operative Factory, which will serve to show the great advantage there is to the farmer who joins with others for mutual advantage. The suppliers have received BJd per gallon for the milk supplied ending 31st March, and the Company have £6O surplus in hand to divide amongst the shareholders. The winter prospects are good owing to dry weather in the adjoining colonies, which will enable this company to pay from 4d to 4£d per gallon during the ensuing five months. By inserting these facts you will be conferring a favor upon those who have been selling milk for about 2fd, with no prospects of availing themselves of the winter trade, as I understand most of them are bound for a given period.— I am, &c., John Mynott. New Plymouth, April 14,1897.
