Mr C. McGregor’s New Premises.
The new shop erected by Christie and Co. for Mr McGregor is an additition to the business places of the town. The building is 35 feet by 18 feet, and stands on the west corner of Main and Havelock Streets. There is a commodious shop with show windows to each street and it is very conveniently fitted up. At the back of the shop is a commodious workroom. There is a massive verandah running round both frontages. The building is erected in a very substantial and satisfactory manner. The painting is in the hands of Mr D. McDonald. The building was erected under the supervision of Mr A. O’Brien, architect. Mr McGregor has opened out a fine stock of general saddlery, comprising saddles, sets of harness, collars, bridles, spurs, whips, &c., aud beiug marked at bottom prices he should do a thriving business. We wish him every success which his genuine workmanship and courtesy during the years he has been in business in Opunake entitles him to.
