PUNIHO STAKES, of 10 sovs ; second horse to receive 30s from the stakes. Minimum weight, Bst 71b; four furlongs ; entrance, 10s. 6. Horses to be the bona fide property of the owner three months prior to day of racing. District bounded on the north by the Tapuae stream and on the south by the Taungatara stream. Entrances for Maiden (7s fid) and Puniho Stakes (10s) on general-acceptance night. WEDNESDAY, 7th April. General Acceptances—Cup, 10s ; Flying, 5s ; Pony Handicap, 6s ; District Welter, 2s fid. Winner of the Cup or Flying to carry 7lbs penalty. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Definition of a Hack.—Hack means a horse that has never won a race, and is not nominated at time of start for any race, Hack, Hunter, and Pony Races excepted. All nominations, acceptances, and entries must he addressed to the Secretary (Post Office, Okato) not later than 6 p.m. on the advertised date of closing. Full particulars of colors, age, and pedigree must be forwarded with the nominations. Horses walking over will receive half the stakes only. All races to be run under the Rules of Racing, as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand. The Committee reserve to themselves the right of altering the dates of entry, acceptance, &c., and the dates on which the handicaps appear, should they deem fit. the convenience of owners at this end Mr A.
