FIRE AT SYDNEY.

Sydney, January 20.

A large fire broke out at eight this morning in the Eagle Tobacco Co.’s and factory in Clarence Street. The building (four storeys) extends through to Kent Street, and is situated within a densely built block. The fire originated in the factory in Kent Street which was speedily demolished, and then spread to Clarence Street frontage, gutting the three upper storeys. GREAT FIRE AT COOLGARDIE. Perth, January 19. By a disastrous fire in Bayley street, Coolgardie, five premises were destroyed. Damage, £20,000.
