1. Definition of a HACK. —A Hack is a horse that has not won an advertised race (Hack, Hunter, and Pony excepted), and is not at time of start, and has not been, during the six calendar months previous to the time of starting, nominated for any race (Hack, Hunter, and Pony Races excepted). 2. All nominations must include description, age, pedigree, and performances of the horse, colors of rider, and name of owner. 3. All nominations and acceptances to be accompanied by the necessary amount of cash, and must be in the hands of the Secretary, at Knowles’ Hotel, Opunnke, not later than the time notified on the advertised dates of closing. 4. All races to be run under the Rules of Racing as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand. 5. No entry or nomination will be received for any race except on these conditions : That all disputes, claims, and objections arising shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint ; their decision upon all points shall be fiual. He is a dark bay with black points. He is by Jock, out of a mare by Baron, who is a well-known horse on this Coast. Young Jock, on the mother’s side is a great grandson of Young Wellington.
