New Plymouth Harbor Board.

The Board met on Tuesdsy, and from the New Plymouth papers we take the following : WHARFAGE CHARGES. Ou the motion of Mr Balfe, charges on dairy produce was reduced to 23 a ton. It was decided to petition the Government for a reduction of railage charges. THE BOARD'S ENGINEER. Mr Davies moved a motion expressing the Board's appreciation of the way in which the engineer had done hi 3 work while in the Board's service. The Chairman said it gave him much pleasure to second the motion. Mr Marchant had done very valuable service for the Board. Several other members spoke in eulogy of Mr Marchant, aud the resolution was carried.
