AUSTRALIANS IN ENGLAND. GLOUCESTERSHIRE MATCH. London, August 23. The Gloucestershire match was resumed in fine weather, with a heavy drying wicket, and the Home team, wo had lost no wickets for three runs in a few minutes’ play of the previous day, cut a very sorry figure on the treacherous wicket. The innings only lasted fifty minutes, and Trumble who performed the “ hat trick ” took six wickets for 8 runs, and McKibbin 4 for 7. The Australians won by an innings and 54 runs. The visitors only bowled 19 overs in the second innings. THE SOMERSET MATCH. London, August 24. The Australians began a match with Somersetshire to-day. The following is the county team :—L. and R.
