Land Board.

The Borrd met on Monday. Present : Messrs Stock, Heslop, and Roy. In the absence of the Commissioner Mr Stock was voted to the chair.

Freeholds of d.p. lands granted : R. 0. Hendy, Section 25, Block 10, Ngaire; W. Shoemark, Section 5, Block 7, Egraont; S. S. Norris, Section 11, Block 9, Cape. Two consents to mortgage endorsed by the Commissioner were confirmed. D. McGregor applied for lease of Block 10, Opunake Town, for seven years. The lease will be granted and issued on receipt of half year’s rent and lease fee.

Expenditure of thirds agreed to : Clifton County, 6106, 15s lOd ; Waimate Road Board, £447 11s Id ; Hawera County per Waimate Road Board, £568, 11s 6d. ' \ Two applications to mortgage were agreed to. A. Martin applied for a yearly lease of Sections 4,8, 9, Manaia town, on the usual conditions. Agreed to.— Herald.
