An Auckland Shooting Case.

Auckland, May 11. A young woman named Edith Williams was shot in the leg by Harry Martin, who is said to be of eccentric disposition. The shot came from an upstairs room occupied by Martin, but the latter declares he was cleaning a pistol and the discharge was accidental. Martin has been arrested. The girl is not badly injured. Young Henry Vincent Martin was charged with shooting Edith Williams through the calf of the leg. Prisoner, who was not acquainted with the girl, had suffered from religious mania, and had beeu in the hospital. The defence is shooting accidental. The case has been adjourned.
