Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co.'s. Stock Report. Wanganui, March 25. We have to report on our Saturday's horse fair, Monday's Waverley sale, and to-day's St. Hill-street.— There is no actual alteration in price of stock, but bidding was brisk throughout, and sales were effected with ease. Capital rain is falling today and farmers looked* decidedly cheerful, as rain is badly needed. We quitted a large number of horses, certainly at low figures, but the average obtained was a marked improvement on the corresponding sale last year; Good draught horses brought up to £22 10s. Cattle.—At Waverley—Steers, £2 16s to £4 18s ; weaners, 18s to 21s ; yearlings, 25s to 86s 6d. At St. Hillstreet —Fat cows, £3 4s to £3 12s ; oows, £1 12s to £2 16s ; weaners and yearlings, 183 to 84s. Sheep—At Waverley—Ewes, 3s Id to 7s ; wethers, 6s lOd to 7s lOd; lambs, 4s l|d ; fat ewes, 6s to 6s lOd. At St. Hill-street—Ewes, 2s 6d to 8s ; ewes and wethers, 6s 8d; wethers, 6s; fat ewes,. 6s 8d; lambs, 2s 6d to 8s 6d.

Bgmont Farmers' Union (Limited) Report. Fiwera, March 26. We held our usual monthly sale at Okaiawa on 19th inst. The advertised number of stock came forward. There was a fair attendance, but bidding was dull resulting in most of the stock returning home unsold. We quote : Springers, £4 10s to £5 ss; cows and calves, £2 15s to £4 4s; yearlings, £1 2s to £1 7s. Pigs, slips, 2s 9d. Sheep, fat, 8s to 9s. At Mauaia, on Wednesday, 25th, we held our fortnightly sale. On account of the wet day but few stock came forward and the attendance was also small. During the week business in fat stock had been brisk, the long spell of drought being broken by the splendid rain on Tuesday and Wednesday last. Should the weather continue mild we may expect a good supply of autumn grass, and brighter prospects for ail kinds of store stock. We quote:—2s to 8-year steers, £4 10s to £4 15s.

Messrs Nolan, Tonka and Co.'s Stock report. Our supplementary sheep fair was held on 20th inst. There was a good muster, 18,000 being yarded, most of which were disposed of, although at prices somewhat less than those of a month since, which no doubt was owing to the long spell of dry weather. At Eltham, on 28rd inst, we had a fair entry of cattle but bidding was slack throughout. At Hawera, on 26th iust, there was very little enquiry for both cattle and sheep, yet several lines were cleared at prices in favor of buyers. We quote:— At sheep fair—Shorn lambs, 8s to 4s 8d ; woolly lambs, 4s 9d to 6s; 2-tooth ewes, 7s to 8s ; 4-tooth ewes, 7s 6d to 8s 6d; full-mouth ewes, 4s 6d to 5s 6d, fat ewes, 7s; 2-tooth wethers, 7s 8d to 7s 9d; rams Ito 1£ guineas.
