The Government have appointed J. Frostick (President of the Employers' Associa. tion) and R. Allan (boot manufacturer) employers' representatives on the Canterbury Board of Conciliation, and G. P. Farquhar and Size on the Otago-Southland Board. Both Courts will sit shortly to discuss the boot trade dispute. The New Zealaud Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report under date London, March 6th :—Tallow. —Fine mutton tallow is neglected. The market is easier for other kinds. Frozen meats.—Mutton market is weak, Canterbury mutton is worth 3|d per lb. Wellington mutton is worth 3Jd per lb. Sheepskins.—There is a better demand. Combing merino crossbred is Jd per lb higher.
