The Chas. Naylor Novelty Co.

As will be seen by reference to our advertising columns the talented Chas. Naylor Novelty Co., will pay Opunake a visit on Wednesday week. They have played at all the towns on the coast, and received very flattering notices after each performance. Speaking of their performance at Stratford on race night the Egmont Settler says : " A large and enthusiastic audience assembled at the Stratford Town Hall last night to witness the above company. The first part of the programme consisted of the usual chair business. Several Negro and other sougs were rendered in capital style,, the audience showing their appreciation by loud and repeated calls for encores.' The sougs, jokes and funny sketches by the Naylor Brothers were particularly good, and kept the house in roars oflaughter the whole evening. The latter part of the programme was. a varied oue, several good songs were given by the Naylor Bros., A. Rus~ den, C. Lenox, C. Horton, J. Macedo r F. Godfry, and other members of the company". The whole was brought to a close by a laughable farce, in which all of the members of the company took part. The entertainment altogether was oue worthy of patronage. Everybody in the hall spent a tho : roughly enjoyable time. The proceedings were brought to a close by a select dance, which was kept up till after midnight."
