Land Board.
♦ The Land Board met on Monday. Present: The Commissioner (Mr Strauchon, Messrs Kelly, Stock, Heslop and Roy. CAPITALISATION. D. Campbell was allowed to capitalise and acquire the freehold of D.P. section 70, Block 10, Kaupokonui; and J. Thomson to acquire the freehold of Section 12, Block 7 Ngaire. TRANSFERS. The following transfers were granted :—R. Crocket, Section 89, Block 7, Kaupokonui (P.L.), to J. Crockett; and J. S. Anderson, lease in perpetuity, Section 14, Block 8, Ngatimaru, to J. Coleman. ranger's repobt. The report of the Ranger on the balance of sections requiring inspection at the end of December, 1895, showed that 25 sections, comprising 10,029 acres, had been inspected, the requirements being 365 acres in grass, and additional improvements of the value of £2788. The improvements made are: 4595 acres in grass, valued at £9037, besides buildings, fencing, &c. valued at £1744. Four selectors in arrear are to be asked why they have not complied with the conditions. The Board then adjourned.—News.
