Mr Newton King’s Weekly Report. Cattle.—Tho sale at Stratford on Tuesday was a small one, as might be expected owing to Christmas and haymaking. The prices were an improvement on late rates, steers and young cattle selling freely. Calves 25s ; yearlings, 28s to 85s ; 2 to 2J-year steers, 68s; 12 month to 2-years, 57s ; fat cows, 60s ; bulls, 20s to 555.
