Land Board.
The Land Board met on Monday, Present—The Commissioner of Grown Lands (Mr Strauchon), Messrs Kelly, Stock, ITeslop and Roy. The Waimate Road Board requested approval to an amendment of transfer of funds from Lower Glenn Road by transferring £lO3 17s 6d instead of £I2G 2s 5d to the Upper G’euu Road as submitted in the proposal of October 16th, 1895, the difference £22 4s lid, to be transferred to the Lower Normanby Road at the request of the selector, 11. B. Curtis, the thirds having accrued from his sections 40 and 41, block 0, Waimate. Agreed to.
The Waimate Road Board submitted proposals for the expenditure of £442 10s 6d, accrued thirds up to September 30th, 1895- The objection of D. M. Holmes to his thirds from section 10, block 14, Opunake, being used as interest on the Watino Road loan was also considered. Expenditure agreed to as recommended by Ranger, thirds from Section 16 to be omitted from security for the Watiuo Road loan. A list of selectors in arrears with their rents was hold over to the next mooting on December 16.
The report of the Ranger on the application of R. O. Hendy for exemption from residence on D.P. Section 25, Block 10, Ngaire, and the issue of the freehold title was read. It was decided that in consequence of Mr Hendy having failed to comply with the conditions of residence and the conditions of improvements, the applicitionsbo refused. —Herald.
