The Land Board mot on Monday, Present—The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr Strauchou), Messrs Roy and Stock.

The following applied to acquire freehold of d.p. lands :—S. Smith, section 38, Block 3, Huiroa ; J. Tynan, Section 67, Block 11, Opunake.— Agreed to. The laud applied for since last meeting was as under :—W. N. Jenkins, Section 3G, Block 15, Ngaire, 212 acres, lease in perpetuity ; Mary S. Granville, Section 11, Block 12, Ngaire, 215 acres ; T. Carman, section 101, Block 10, Ngaire, 240 acres 1 rood 12 perches; J. H. Thompson, Section 42, Block 11, 249 acres.—The schedule was agreed to. D. M. Holmes wrote, objecting to his " thirds " from Section 10, Block 14, Opuuake, beiug used as interest on the loan raised for the Watino Road, as the proposal does not benefit him. —Deferred. This Board submitted authorities from J. J. Campbell and A. Sutherland to transfer £l2O 2s sd, thirds accrued from Sections 23, 30 and 37, Block G, Waimate, to the Upper Glenn Road, Waimate, after speudiug £l4O on the Lower Glenn Road ; and £l5O from Sections 17, 19, and 20, Block 7, Waimate, totheManaiaßoad, after spending £BO lis 8d on the Sutherland Road.—A copy of Mr Pearce's letter will be referred to the Waimate Road Board fjr report.—News.
