CLEARING TRACKS.

(to the editob.) Sib, —I notice in your issue of Ist instant tenders are being called by the Public Trustee for felling and clearing tracks on Arawhata and Opna Eoads. So far so good; but if I mistake not the Public Trustee promised to fell and clear a track on Ngariki Road as well up to the top section, and trust that the fact of this work not being included in the present notice is only an oversight on the part of the authorities. I admit that so far as I am aware no sections have been taken up on the Ngariki Road beyond the Wiremu Road. I also predict that none are likely to be taken up unless steps are taken to open up the road ; but I feel confident that if the work is put in hand the whole of the sections will be taken up in a very short time. —I am, &c, Peogeess. Rahotu, October 2nd.
