Heath’s Kentucky Minstrels.
This talented company will appear in the Town Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and judging from both press and public criticisms the good people of Opunake are in for a real genuine treat in the way of variety busin The company comprises ten members, each one, both ladies and gentlemen, being an artist of first-class ability. An especial feature of the entertainment is quintette part singing and skirt dancing, the Misses Dampiers being specially engaged for the latter. Mr Alf. Wilkins is the tenor, and Messrs Lyndon, Maccabe; Gordon, and Wilkins the end men. Miss Kate Heath is the contralto of the company, while the musical arrangements are in the capable hands of Mr Walter Charles Linden. The programme, which is a lengthy one, comprises ballads, jigs, part singing, skirt dancing, finales and farces, so taking it all together bumper houses should greet the company. The season is short, being only two nights, commencing this evening, and tomorrow night.
